Courtroom Skills – Look and Sound the part
Next course in Glasgow at the LSA - Wed 12th October 2011(Contact me for details)
This is a seminar aimed primarily at everyone who has to present a case in court, but who is either inexperienced or aware that their communication skills require polishing.
The course will cover coping with ‘performance’ anxiety, understanding how important body language is, and working on the voice.
The practical areas covered will be
• How to cope with anxiety – suggested exercises
• How to look confident.
• How to make your voice carry to the corner of the court.
• How to use vocal skills to keep everyone listening.
This is a practical course and will benefit those who are new to working in court who may feel that they are not looking or sounding the part. There is an element of performance required for all those who have to speak in court and this seminar will introduce attendees to some basic stage skills so that by the end they will sound, look and more importantly, feel more confident.
